PHILOSOPHY

I desire to be an interpreter because interpreters are individuals who are devoted to the cause of building relationships between people. They are in the business of bringing two different people groups together through facilitating communication. Interpreters empower people through serving as their voice, giving communities and cultures better opportunities to be heard and achieve their goals.

I yearn to be an Educational interpreter because they assist Deaf children in achieving success through facilitating communication. The goal of an educational interpreter is not to simply interpret information, but to help their Deaf student accomplish their hopes, dreams, and educational goals.
